CameraWare Video Sender V2.0 Released

June 30th, 2001 CameraWare V2.0 Video Sender was released. V2.0 includes enhanced reliability and much stronger security. Down load it now for the best possible broadcasting experience!!

Faster Video!

CameraWare is unique for many reasons but one of its greatest strengths is its responsiveness to broadcasters’ needs. CameraWare has recently installed a new server relay that greatly speeds up the refresh rate. This new server software assesses viewer traffic and increases the refresh rate of the most popular broadcasters. Even viewers watching broadcasters who use dialups will notice faster video.

When a broadcaster first logs in, they are given a 3 – 5 minute period of accelerated relay, even though they have not yet gotten many viewers. The new CameraWare server software will then adjust the relay speed according to number of viewers. The more viewers you get, the faster the server will relay your image. Now the most popular broadcasters’ images will refresh much more often, up to once every two seconds!

The overall effect is that 80% of all viewers will notice a speed up in the cameras. (Broadcasts from dialups will speed up too...but not quite as much. since dialups are slower). Wow!!
