At CameraWare, we take all reports of abuse on CameraWare very
seriously. Below is a list of common questions regarding abuse and
reporting it on CameraWare.
Q. Someone is bothering me on CameraWare. What can I do?
A. Email us with as much
detail as possible, and preferably while the abuse is still occuring.
Include the following information:
- Date & Time (including time zone) of the abuse
- Broadcast and/or other nicknames of the abuser
- A very detailed description on what is going on. The more
information you can provide us, the better!
- Include your broadcast and/or other nicknames so
we know who we are dealing with.
Q. Do you monitor the webcam broadcasts or chatrooms for abuse?
A. Not at all. We are not responsible in any way for the content
displayed through CameraWare's servers. However, if someone reports
an abuse on CameraWare, we will act on it as soon as enough information
is gathered.
Q. My friend's images are being rebroadcast by someone else on
CameraWare. What can I do?
Your friend has to actually report the rebroadcast to us themselves. Why?
We have found that sometimes it's OK with broadcasters if someone
else rebroadcasts their images. Even with permission. So abuse reports
of this nature need to be reported by the person who is directly affected
so we do have any miscommunications or misunderstandings.
Q. Can anyone under 18 years of age be on CameraWare?
A. No.
