Broadcast Free CameraWare Video Sender Tutorial

System Requirements:
- A computer running Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows Vista.
- Any VFW (Video For Windows) compliant webcam or a camcorder that plugs in
to a video capture card or USB port on your computer. The video capture
card must support live video conferencing.
First, download CameraWare.
The CameraWare installer program install 2 separate programs:
- CameraWare Video Sender
-- broadcast your live images across the Internet FREE

The shortcut icon for CameraWare Video Sender will appear on
your desktop when the installation is complete.

To use the Slide Show, Secret Code, Closed Community and
Private features in the Video Sender, a
CameraWare License is required.
CameraWare Standalone Viewer
-- enhances your CameraWare viewing experience with its
fantastic features! A
CameraWare License is required to run the standalone viewer
continuously.

The shortcut icon for CameraWare Standalone Viewer will
appear on your desktop when the installation is complete.

Double click on the
created on your desktop anytime to run the CameraWare Video Sender program.
Login Instructions
LOGIN NAME: Type in a login name for yourself. No
one will see this name anywhere.
PASSWORD: Type in a password that consists of
at least 6 letters and numbers.
BROADCAST NAME: Type in your broadcast name.
This is the name that will appear in the channel menu (list of cameras to watch).
COMMUNITY:Enter in the name of your Community.
The default is "None".
CLOSED COMMUNITY: Place a check mark
in the Closed Community checkbox to display your broadcast ONLY in a
specially configured
CameraWare Closed Community viewing applet.
You must then type in the exact name of the closed community you
wish to show your video in.
CONTENT RATING: Choose an appropriate
content rating for your broadcast. Only use G & PG ratings if you
are NOT displaying adult content in your broadcast.
CATEGORY: Select your webcam broadcast category.
For public broadcasting, select Female Broadcaster, Male Broadcaster, Couples,
Places, Events, or Things. Use the category that correctly describes your
broadcast.
If you have a CameraWare License,
and a
private video applet setup on your
website, you can select Private. Your broadcast will not be seen on
any public CameraWare viewer.
TEXT AREA: Type in some text here describing
your broadcast, or the exact URL of the website you are chatting in. We recommend that
you do not enter your real name or personal email address in this field. URLs must
be complete in order to be clickable inside the viewer.
DISCLAIMER & AGREEMENT: Read it carefully, and abide by it.
Click on the 
button. The login screen will close, and you will see your
live camera preview image displayed.
- Above your preview image is the Status Area.
After being logged in for about 5 minutes, the Status Area will display
the following text:
Your broadcast can now be seen over the Internet.
If this text is not displayed after 5 minutes, and your broadcast name is not
showing up in the channel menu of any CameraWare Viewer, your firewall is likely
blocking CameraWare. See our FAQ
