We are testing some voice chat applications! Now you can enjoy hearing your favorite CameraWare broadcasters and friends from all over the globe live! And it's all FREE!

This is a 3-6 Month LIMITED TIME test of this free voice chat.

Below you will find instructions on how to install the Ventrilo voice chat client and connect with participating CameraWare Community sites in FREE live voice chat. Use the links below to quickly jump to specific sections.

Download Voice Chat Client (FREE)

1. Click on the link below to download the free Ventrilo voice chat client:

   Ventrilo Client - Windows i386 - 32bit (Version 3.0.1)

2. At the bottom of that page, select the Agree button to start the download. The download file prompt window will open. Click on the Save File button.



3. The Save As window will open. Select the folder you want to save the file to, and click on the Save button. The file will download.

Install Ventrilo Voice Chat Client

1. When the download is complete, double-click on the downloaded file to run the installation - ventrilo-3.0.1-Windows-i386.exe. The Installation Wizard will begin. Click on the Next button in the first window.



2. In the second window, select the radio button beside I accept the license agreement, then click on the Next button.



3. In the third window of the Wizard, type in your CameraWare "nickname" in the Full Name field. Click on the Next button to continue.



4. Select where you want to save the program files. The default location is best. Click on the Next button.



5. Click on the Next button in next window of the wizard to start the installation procedure.



6. When the installation is complete and successful, the final window of the wizard will open. Click on the Finish button.

Setup Ventrilo Voice Chat Client

1. Double-click on the Ventrilo shortcut icon installed on your desktop:



2. The first time Ventrilo is run, a prompt to view the online tutorial will open. Click on No to continue, or Yes to view the tutorial. If you select No, you can view the tutorial here later.



3. The Ventrilo client will open. To enter your CameraWare nickname, click on the -> button shown circled in the image below.



4. The Setup User window will open. Click on the New button to create a user account. Multiple user accounts can be created.



5. Type your CameraWare nickname into the Setup New User window that opens. Then click on the OK button.



6. Click on the OK button to close the Setup User window.

7. To setup a new server to connect to, click on the -> button as circled in the image below.



8. The Connection Editor window opens. Click on the New button.



9. The Setup New Server window opens. Type in the name of the server as "CameraWare" as shown below. Click on the OK button to close the window.



10. In the Connection Editor window, you must fill in the following fields to connect to the CameraWare Voice Chat server:

• Hostname or IP: audioserver.cameraware.com
• Port number: 4550
• Password: cameraware
• Default Channel: cameraware

In the checkbox options below these fields, select the options you want active. Make sure there is a checkmark beside Accept User-to-user communications. to enable chat with others.

When you are finished, click on the OK button to continue.



11. The main Ventrilo window will display a message that the server is available. Click on the Connect button to connect to the voice chat server.



12. To use the voice chat, hold down the LEFT CTRL key on your keyboard while you speak.
(The key to hold down is changable in the Ventrilo SETUP window)
